Grant Applications Due: Smoky Valley Heritage Fund and Kansas Health Foundation Fund
Apr 15 all-day

Applications are being accepted beginning March 1 for the spring grant cycle of the Smoky Valley Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Greater Salina Community Foundation. Applicants may apply for the Heritage Fund or The Smoky Valley Healthy Living Fund.

The Heritage Fund is a field of interest fund that was established by the City of Lindsborg to support the work of the local community in enhancing, strengthening and promoting the heritage of the Smoky Valley area. From this endowed fund, the Foundation Board annually determines and designates the available funding in the form of charitable grants.

Successful applications are those that enhance, strengthen or promote the heritage of the Smoky Valley. All individuals, groups, and non-profit organizations are encouraged to apply. For-profit organizations will not be considered unless the request is for a charitable project.

The Smoky Valley Healthy Living Fund was established in response to the Kansas Health Foundation’s second chapter of the Giving Resources to our World (GROW II) match grant challenge. Grants from this fund support the public health of the Smoky Valley area. Public health is defined as the protection and promotion of the health and well-being of individuals and their communities through encouragement of healthy lifestyles, behaviors and environments.

Funding for this grant is also supported by the Kansas Health Foundation Fund for Smoky Valley.

Applicants are required to complete a grant application at smokyvalleycf.org. Click on “Apply for a Grant” to start. Access code “SVCF” will be needed to apply for SVCF grants.

Applications are due by April 15.
