Donate to the A Jay Steinberg scholarship fund, honor musical legacy!

LINDSBORG, Kan.—The Smoky Valley Community Foundation is now accepting scholarship donations for the A Jay Steinberg Scholarship Fund. Contributions are needed so scholarships can be awarded in the future.

The scholarships will financially help students graduating from Smoky Valley High School who are pursuing a college music career in Kansas. Help us continue the strength of the Smoky Valley arts and honor Jay’s contribution and dedication to teaching the Smoky Valley community youth.

Jeanne Lucas, Smoky Valley Community Foundation board chair, stated, “The first time I saw Jay in action was during Hyllningsfest of 2013. I was helping (as a parent) with the middle school band and he came into the Soderstrom gym and got them lined up in under a minute with a brief but emphatic speech. As a former middle school music teacher, I got it. And it still makes me smile every time I think about it.”
