Smoky Valley CF now accepting spring grant applications

LINDSBORG, Kan.— The Smoky Valley Community Foundation is now accepting applications for spring grants. Online applications open Friday, March 1 and are due Wednesday, May 1, 2024.

This year, over $20,000 is available for charitable community improvement projects within the Smoky Valley area, which covers northern McPherson County and southern Saline County. This cycle will fund local community projects that meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Projects that address the present and future needs of the community.
  • Projects that promote and encourage healthy lifestyles.

Funding for the spring grant cycle is provided by the Smoky Valley Healthy Living Fund, the Kansas Health Foundation Fund for Smoky Valley, and the Smoky Valley Community Enhancement Fund.

Grants will be awarded through a competitive application process and requests up to $3,000 will be considered. Nonprofit organizations, government and public entities, educational institutions and churches are encouraged to apply. Applications must be submitted online by 11:59 p.m. on May 1. Smoky Valley Community Foundation Scholarships Available!

Smoky Valley Community Foundation is accepting scholarship applications for nine local scholarship funds for the 2024-2025 school year. Last year, over $60,000 was awarded.

Students may also be eligible for other scholarship funds held at our host foundation, the Greater Salina Community Foundation and its other regional affiliates.

Fall Match Month Deadline Extended to November 28th!

LINDSBORG, Kan.— The deadline has been extended to November 28th for Smoky Valley Community Foundation's Match Month. This also happens to be Giving Tuesday!

All donations made from October 13 to November 28 to one of the Foundation’s organization funds will be matched at 100% up to $2,500 per organization by the Patterson Family Foundation.
