Smoky Valley Community Foundation announces fall grant recipients

LINDSBORG, Kan.— During its fall grant cycle, the Smoky Valley Community Foundation awarded over $18,000 to 14 projects throughout the Smoky Valley area. The following organizations received funding: • Lindsborg Community Library, $3,000 for technology items and updated computer desk stations. • Bethany College, $3,000 to upgrade the lightning detector unit.• Bethany Lutheran Church, $2,500 to provide an Applied Suicide Intervention Skills and Training (ASIST) class.• Bethany Lutheran Church, $2,400 to host an adult and youth mental health first aid class.• Midsummer's Festival, $1,270 for childerens activitites at the Midsummer’s Festival 2020.• Steps to End Poverty of McPherson County, $1,000 to[...]
