Smoky Valley Community Foundation raises funds during April Match Month
LINDSBORG, Kan.— The Smoky Valley Community Foundation had an opportunity to receive matching funds from the Smoky Valley Community Foundation and the Patterson Family Foundation.
The foundation is excited to announce that it raised a total of $42,200 during their April Match Month. With a $4,000 match from the SVCF and a $38,620 match from the Patterson Family Foundation, this results in a total community impact of $84,820. This was the Community Foundation’s most successful match month in recent history, thanks to the amazing donors in the community.
The Patterson Family Foundation is a family-led, non-profit foundation continuing the legacy of Neal and Jeanne Patterson whose mission is advancing health care, education, and strengthening communities especially in rural areas in Kansas and western Missouri. They understand that local community foundations play a special role in serving their communities and hope to inspire more local donors to participate in rural philanthropy through rural serving community foundations, and for more donations to flow to local nonprofits as a result.
“Smoky Valley Community Foundation had the best match month to date thanks to the generosity of donors near and far. It is exciting to see the support for SVCF and know that these donations will benefit local organizations now and in the future! Thank you!” – The Smoky Valley Community Foundation Executive Board Members.
The Smoky Valley Community Foundation will have the opportunity to raise additional funds at a future match event. More information about this upcoming event will be provided at a later date.
