Donor Advised Funds

Donor Advised Funds (DAF) allow the donor to recommend eligible charitable recipients for grants from the fund. (The Foundation’s board has final approval of the recommendations.)

Donor Advised Funds are one of the most flexible funds the Foundation offers because a DAF allows a donor to consolidate all tax deductible assets and charitable giving into one vehicle that is invested by the Foundation for growth. DAFs can be established by individuals, families, companies or the rollover from a private foundation.

Smoky Valley Community Foundation announces spring grant recipients LINDSBORG, Kan.— During its spring grant cycle, the Smoky Valley Community Foundation awarded nearly $4,000 to two projects throughout the Smoky Valley area. The following organizations received funding: Raymer Society for the Arts, $1,000 to help support the Brunswick Arts and Crafts Fair. Smoky Valley Community Foundation accepting grant applications

LINDSBORG, Kan.— The Smoky Valley Community Foundation is now accepting applications for spring grants. Online applications open March 1 and are due Saturday, May 1, 2021. This year, over $12,000 is available for charitable community improvement projects within the Smoky Valley area, which covers northern McPherson County and southern Saline County.
