SVCF Launches New Fund Match Program
The Smoky Valley Community Foundation (SVCF) is pleased to announce the launch of its New Fund Match Program, beginning in September 2026. The program is designed to help individuals and nonprofit organizations establish permanent charitable funds while receiving matching dollars to accelerate their impact.
Applications will be accepted until available matching funds are depleted. Nonprofit organizations and individuals within the Smoky Valley service area are encouraged to apply.
Through the New Fund Match Program, approved applicants will receive a $2,000 match toward the establishment of a new fund at SVCF. To qualify, applicants must contribute an initial $2,000 investment from themselves, their organization, or a group of supporters. The remaining balance needed to meet the fund minimum may be completed over the next five years. The minimum amount required to establish most funds is $10,000.
Eligible fund types include:
• Designated Fund – Provides a permanent source of income for your favorite charitable organizations.
• Donor Advised Fund – A simple and flexible charitable giving account that allows donors to recommend grants when and where they choose.
• Field of Interest Fund – Supports a specific cause, area of interest, or geographic region.
• Organization Fund – Helps nonprofit organizations build long-term financial sustainability and strengthen their mission.
• Scholarship Fund – Creates educational opportunities for students through scholarship support.
Interested individuals and organizations must complete an application for consideration. Applications will be reviewed by the SVCF Board of Directors, and approval is not guaranteed. Applicants selected to receive matching funds will be contacted with information about establishing their new fund.
The New Fund Match Program offers a meaningful way to invest in the future of local communities while creating long-term charitable resources that support causes, organizations, and educational opportunities throughout the Smoky Valley region.
