Smoky Valley Community Foundation announces scholarship recipients.

The Smoky Valley Community Foundation has awarded over $85,000 in scholarships to area students for the upcoming academic year. The following students received scholarships:

•          The Brandon Rogers Memorial Scholarship is for seniors graduating from Smoky Valley High School. Brock Gengler of Falun, KS, Hope Schrag of Lindsborg, KS, and Caleb Adams of Salina, KS received this scholarship.
•          The Clyde and Glenn Lindstrom Scholarship is for seniors graduating from Smoky Valley High School or Smoky Valley Virtual Charter who are pursuing a post-secondary education in a vocational field. Marik Anderson and Karlina Morford, both of Lindsborg, KS and Kurtis Turner of Salina, KS all received this scholarship. Toby Coleman, Nicholas Jones, Julia Hawk, Trevor Kendrick, Katja Blanchat, and Luke Moss each received a renewal scholarship.
•          The Dorothy J. Ziegler Music and Art Scholarship is for seniors graduating from Smoky Valley High School who plan to major in either performing arts or visual arts. Echo Clark Pavlovich and Taran Johnsen, both of Lindsborg, KS received this scholarship. Cael Kibler received a renewal scholarship.
•          The Louis, Ron and Tom Westman Scholarship is for seniors graduating from Smoky Valley High School. Hope Schrag, Illie DeBaere, Ceeley Friesen, Marik Anderson, Taran Johnsen, and Memphis Patterson all of Lindsborg, KS, and Brock Gengler, of Falun, KS each received this scholarship.
•          The Mona Peterson Community Service Scholarship is for seniors graduating from Smoky Valley High School, the Smoky Valley Home Educators or the Lindsborg Area Home Educators that participate in community service activities. Taran Johnsen and Ceeley Friesen, both of Lindsborg, KS received this scholarship.
•          The Smoky Valley Elementary Education Scholarship is for seniors graduating from Smoky Valley High School, or home-schooled graduating students living in the Smoky Valley District, who plan to major in elementary education. Kaitlyn Leis, of Salina, KS received this scholarship.
