Sprout House Early Learning
Sprout House Early Learning Center has recently been re-structured, changing from a child care center to a family child care provider, which has allowed the center to simplify the structure of caring for toddlers in the 'workshop' and preschoolers in the 'house'. With the change, Sprout House was in need of furnishings and materials age appropriate for the children in care.
The Smoky Valley Community Foundation awarded the center a grant to purchase two toddler tables, two sensory tables and four new chairs. "The tables and chairs have been so helpful in the toddler room," said grantee Casi Scriven. "The toddlers are now able to touch the floor with their feet and sit in a chair correctly! The sensory tables have a been a blast. We love pulling them outside and putting water in them over the summer. It was a great way to cool down on hot summer days!"
